The Fangjiashan Nuclear Power Plant is an extended project to Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant I. It has two 1000 MW pressurized water reactor units employing the modified generation II pressurized water reactor technology, with integrated localization rate above 80%. Construction on Unit 1 started on 26 December 2008, which first came online on 4 November 2014 and began commercial operations on 15 December in the same year. Construction on Unit 2 followed on 7 July 2009, which first came online on 12 January 2015 and began commercial operations on 12 February in the same year.
