Ningde Nuclear Power Plant, located at Beiwan village, Qinyu Township, Fuding city, Fujian province, was built in three phases. Construction costs for Phase I project were 51.2 billion RMB for four units. After completion of construction the four units produce an annual output of 300 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. Construction on Units 1 and 2 began on 18 February and 12 November 2008, respectively. Units 3 and 4 followed on 8 January and 29 September 2010. Commercial operations began on 18 April 2013 for Unit, 5 May 2014 for Unit 2, 10 June 2015 for Unit 3 and 21 July 2016 for Unit 4.
