Taishan Nuclear Power Plant is located 1.2 km northwest of Yaogu village, Chixi Township, Taishan city. The plant site houses four 1750 MW pressurized water reactors, concurrently with a proposed project of two 1000 MW units to be constructed at the same site. Construction on Units 1 and 2 began on 18 November 2009 and 15 April 2010, respectively.
