The Changjiang Nuclear Power Plant is located at Tangxing village, Haiwei Township, Changjiang County, Hainan province. The Phase I project, housing Units 1 and 2, is the modified generation II pressurized water reactor type. Phase I project comprises two 650 MW units. Construction on Units 1 and 2 began on 25 April and 21 November 2010, respectively, which started commercial operations on 25 December 2015 and 12 August 2016, respectively.
