(1) Functions 

Administer the licensing of nuclear power plants, nuclear thermoelectric power plants, nuclear heat and steam generating devices, research reactors, critical devices, power operations of sub-critical devices, and other nuclear facilities; Supervise the nuclear safety, radiation safety and environmental protection of such facilities; Supervise the independent investigation, technical assessment and experience feedback of accidents in the construction and operation of the aforementioned facilities; Carry out China’s role in implementing relevant international conventions.
