At 2:19 on 10 April 2018, Qinshan NPPII unit 1 was disconnected from electricity grid for the 14th overhaul.

At present, the overhaul work was started simultaneously for 18th overhaul at NPP I, 14th at NPP II unit 1 and 9th for NPP III unit 2 at Qinshan Nuclear Power Base. The work was planned to involve more than twenty thousand of items. The nuclear safety oversight faced the challenges with lack of human resources and heavy task.

Under the strong support of the Qinshan CPC committee, the oversight team on Qinshan site rationally allocated human resources, prepared ahead oversight plan, strengthened the day-to-day supervision, coordinates all special groups to provide support, and worked hard together to tackle tough tasks. With the "strict, true, fine, solid, fast spirits”, the special team provided strong guarantee for the safe, excellent and efficient the overhaul by practicing the core values of "unity, discipline, standard and profession”.
